One of our favorite things about the “rope sports” world is that there is still a very strong emphasis on mentorship, and we love being able to continue this legacy by offering our Adventure For All Scholarships. In 2021, our business donated 12 half-day canyoneering trips to Kanab locals.
These 12 trips gave almost 70 locals, who otherwise may not have the opportunity, to explore nearby slot canyons with trained, technical canyoneering guides in our off-road vehicles. We were overwhelmed by the turnout – some of the trips were filled within hours of our announcements through Facebook and our partnership with the Kanab City Rec Center.
Eight of those trips were specifically for local Kanab kids aged 5-18 . For the youth trips, we were able to drop the cost to $30/participant which was enough to cover our most basic costs, and we donated our gear, guides, and our time with a value over $9,720. We absolutely loved these trips and are thrilled that our community responded so positively.
